Q + A

Where Should I Stay?

Please see the travel tab for hotel suggestions. Please note that it is a holiday weekend and hotels in the area fill up quickly. We have contracted room blocks, but still encourage you to book your stay as soon as you are able. If you have any trouble with accommodations, please reach out to Kara directly. :) We highly recommend staying at a hotel listed on the recommended tab as we will be providing transportation to and from the wedding. Ubers/ ride share is limited in the area.

Who is invited to the Welcome Party on Saturday, August 31?

All are welcome! It is a casual event to pop in, grab a drink, and say hello as everyone comes into town. Attire is "casual cocktail" - gentlemen can feel free to wear polos, collared shirts - no jacket or tie needed! Ladies can feel free to wear sundresses or similar! College football fans - we'll find some TVs, don't worry!

What Should I Wear to the Wedding?

The attire is black tie optional. We would love for our family and friends to dress up with us! Ladies can wear floor or tea length dresses and gentleman can wear suit and tie or tux of their choosing. :)

Will There be Transportation to the Wedding?

We will be providing transportation from The Holiday Inn, The Best Western, The Hilton, and the Hyatt. All guests are welcome! Parking is also available for free at the venue. Note that Ubers/Lyfts on Kent Island take a bit longer than in downtown Annapolis, so we encourage booking your ride ahead of time in the app or through a taxi should you plan to use a rideshare outside of the provided shuttles.

What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony begins at 4:30 PM. We ask that you arrive and are seated by 4:15 PM so that the party can begin on time! NOTE: If you are staying in downtown Annapolis (not one of the room blocks) - please know that the Bay Bridge can be unpredictable at times. We encourage allowing for some extra time when traveling before the ceremony.

Are Kids Invited?

We love your kiddos! However, we have decided to keep our wedding as an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

What should I know about the after party?

The after party will be at The Jetty - a local bar close to a few of the recommended hotels. The bar is open to the public and ID IS REQUIRED to enter. Please bring your ID with you to the wedding to ensure you have it after :) At the conclusion of the wedding, transportation will be provided to the after party AND it will make stops back at the recommended hotels if you choose not to attend The Jetty. There will be a designated tent for us to gather but again, the bar is also open to the public in all other areas.
